Ranger Carrier Bearing

I got super carried away and rushed pulling apart drive shaft and mangled old carrier bearing that I forgot to mark the end yoke to the short shaft to make sure it goes back together in same position for balancing, my question is how do I figure out how to get it back together right trial and error or just run it? 94 Ford Ranger 4.0 V6 2wd

You might see witness marks. But the yokes have to line up (it's called phasing.)

I left my rear drive shaft connected just dropped it down at the front u joint, does that help me figure it out?

Basically you want both yokes to be lined up if that makes sense? Both bearing caps on the u-joints need to be lined up. Hard to put into words. Other than that, you should be totally fine.
