We’re trading dust for draft beer and bringing the off-road community together in a way that’s way more than your typical parking lot meet.

Join us Friday, July 19 from 5–9 PM at AleSmith Brewing in San Diego for an evening built around connection, not just trucks.

Here’s what’s going down:
- Showcase Vehicles
— A curated lineup of rigs from builders, racers, and enthusiasts that represent the best of our scene.
- Off-Road Vendors — Meet brands and builders who live and breathe this lifestyle. Gear, parts, apparel—you name it.
- Sim Golf & Axe Throwing — Lock in a time to swing or throw (reservations recommended—more on that soon).
- Raffle Giveaways — Free to enter and packed with off-road goods, gift cards, and surprises from the vendors.
- Alesmith’s Best — Cold pours with food available, plenty of space to relax, and no pressure to bounce.

This isn’t your typical meet-up. We’re creating a space where you can actually kick back, talk shop, share stories, and connect with people who get it. Kind of like your favorite garage hangout—just with way more room, cold beer on tap, and good people all around.

Where: AleSmith Brewing | 9990 AleSmith Ct, San Diego
Free entry — tag your crew, bring your rig, and come hang. Whether you're solo or rolling deep, there’s a spot for you here.

Interested in being a vendor? DM @desert.dime or @downformobbing for a booth.

We're 8 days away and the vendor/display vehicle list is growing!

This isn’t your typical off-road expo or parking lot meet packed with vendors and long travel trucks. The Off-Road Summer Social is something real. It’s about connection. It’s about showing up, being present, and diving into San Diego’s off-road and prerunner culture.

Hosted by Down For Mobbing and Desert Dime, the event goes down July 19th at AleSmith Brewery in San Diego. Whether you’re building a desert truck from scratch, chasing the next Baja run, or just in love with the long travel life, this is the place. It’s where the real ones meet to actually talk shop.

Ask someone how they pulled off their V8 swap. Learn how they dialed in their suspension geometry. Hear what keeps their truck together across desert miles. No egos. No gatekeeping. Just authentic conversations, shared knowledge, and the kind of people who live this every day.

Expect trucks on display, top-tier off-road vendors like Downsouth Motorsports, ProBearing, and more, plus raffle prizes and plenty of cold beer on tap courtesy of AleSmith. We’re also bringing in two food trucks to keep things flavorful.

For some added fun, axe throwing and simulation golf will be available by reservation only—so make sure to grab your slot early. sign up HERE

And yeah, this isn’t a pass-through event. We’ve got tables set up to hang, connect, and chill with your people. It’s too hot for the desert right now, so we’re bringing the off-road energy indoors—cool air, cold drinks, and a creative space built for this community.

Think of this like Starbucks for the off-road scene. Not for the coffee—for the vibe. Starbucks sells connection. This is the same. The Off-Road Summer Social is a second home for builders, dreamers, and desert chasers.

If off-roading is your language, this is your conversation.

If you plan on rolling out let us know! Maybe Sunday we all hit Fiesta Island after to play on the beach and hangout in the water?

Would this be worth a drive from phoenix and then stay at some hotel for the night with my son and dad???

Thinking maybe it could be like a short vacation with my son, go hang at the way too crowded beach for a bit Saturday daytime, then go to this?

I say if you make the dive from phoenix, try and make a weekend out of it? You can hit the Zoo, Seaworld, etc.

There’s a couple pretty low key beaches out that way, Torrey pines state beach and silver strand might be a good one to check out. Maybe not as many milfs at those beaches tho…..I
I know a lot of people have been asking about Fiesta Island on this page so that is why I said it. I do really like Torrey Pines tho. The Del Mar beach is also fun!

Have you guys done this "thing/meet up/show/whatever you want to call it" before, or is this the first one? Depending on how big its gonna be will help me with swaying papa one way vs the other......

yeah, papa doesnt want to drive up for the day. its a good 6 hour drive for us on way, WITH AN ADHD'd 9 year old. hah. he said maybe if we stayed Saturday night, came back Sunday.

buuuuuuuuuuuut, idk. ill keep working on him.

It’s freaking official—Bad Lines Good Times is now locked in as a vendor.

We’re stacked with vendors and trucks this year, and honestly, we couldn’t be more grateful for the companies and people helping make this event happen. We’ve poured everything into this, time, late nights, all of it—and the response has been insane.

All available indoor space is officially sold out.
We even had to turn down some vendors and trucks this round because we maxed out the room. Next year? We’ll get more space—promise.

We’ll still have a small outdoor section for overflow display vehicles, but it’s first come, first serve. We won’t be able to babysit that space because we will be running things inside—but pull up and park if you want to be part of it. We're telling people to show up at 3 for those spots.

A quick reminder:
This isn’t a parking lot meet. We don’t care what you drive in—we just care that you come inside, grab some food, a drink, and kick it with the off-road family. This event is about real conversations, swapping build stories, sharing fabrication ideas, and connecting with people who live this life.

Here’s what’s going down:
  • 2 food trucks
  • Tons of beer on tap right in the vendor space
  • Axe throwing & sim golf (book through alesmith.com click HERE)
  • Vendor booths stacked with gear & parts
  • End-of-night raffles with prizes from our vendors and more
Keep checking in—we’re posting daily on Instagram as things get closer.

July 19th at AleSmith Brewery. We’ll see you there.
