Picked this 99 f150 up for a steal a few months back. Had been sitting for a few years so needed a full tune up and changed out all the fluids. Next problem was the poor little v6 ( where the name full sized ranger came from) trying to push 37s through 3:08 gears. Swapped in a set of 4:88s which helped out but its still slow. Front end looks to be a home made 4" over set of arms with 12" coilovers. The rear is longer shackles with a set of modified stock leafs. Still trying to decide if I put deavers on it and keep it simple or simple links. Trying to keep it a fun cruiser that I can still drive to work occasionally since I work in the middle of the desert.

I say to just find a set of deaver's and run it as a 'stock' mobber. You have the rad bronco to beat on but those stock leaf's are probably pretty ruff riding?

Cut out the old beg cage and started on a new one. Needed more room so I can throw bikes in to go riding for day trips. The old bed cage was also cracked everywhere. Not done yet shooting to have it ready for desert clean up next weekend

Got some more knocked out on the truck. Most of the bed cage is done. Shocks are remount. Bump stops are on. Need to come up with a storage compartment where the old spares used to live. Got a light race built and actuator mounted. Also started doing body work amd repainting it so I looks a touch better. Still lots more to do before heading down for the baja 400 next month

Are those nylocs? What a mad man!
Is that a home depot shock washer too?

I'd revisit your hardware choices but otherwise looks like it will work.

It's all stuff I had laying around to be able to move the truck. It's got good hardware waiting to go one when I pull the shocks off to rebuild them
Good to know!

Also, I like that bump pad/spring plate dealio. Looking forward to seeing it hit the dirt!

Got around to finishing up some body work. Also hot my new center console in and all the rewiring done. Got my race radio in and tuned. Hopefully with an oil change and a quick once over she'll be ready for Mexico next week

It's actually a rugged ridge for a jeep. I liked it cause it locked and had room for everything. The switch panel flips up for easy access and troubleshooting. It was pretty cheap and worked out pretty good. Also had an arm rest still and 2 more cup holders

anything more go on with this truck! I love these, i gotta see more pictrues!
Just been out having fun in it. Drove it to Mexico and put a good amount of dirt miles in for the 400. Drive it to work occasionally and take the long way through the desert home sometimes. For the crazy deal I got it fir and not much money I've put into it. I super dig it. Just needs more power

Will do. It's probably not gana be till the 250 for me. I've got the rest of the moto racing year to finish out. Then a ocotillo trip for Thanksgiving and a 2 week ocotillo trip for new years.
