Low buck full sized "ranger"

I think you met our buddy wes. His family has 300 acres out there all set up. I stay in my motor home.
Rad. That's a long time in the dirt but sounds fun.

I'll reach out near new years and probably try and come to meet up with you for a day if your down. It's pretty close to my place.

Ya first time doing more then a week. But im looking forward to lots of relaxing with some riding and off roading thrown in. Fir sure hit me up.

Wanted to ditch the hacked up stock leaf pack, Found some raptor deavers for a steal so pick them up. Going from the 2.5 leafs to 3" wide deavers I ended up buying hanger cut files from DIY off road( will be buying a long more from them) and they went together super easy. Built some new shackles and relocated the stock shackle hanger for a smoother travel arch. Only pulling 14ish inches currently but it rides a ton better and should be much more after I do some shock tuning.

Awesome man. Other then the two spares what else do you have for weight in the back of the truck?

Nice. I was just wondering because the rear of my truck is over sprung. I've already pulled 3 leafs from the pack and probably will pull 1 more in hopes that it rides better.

I think I may have to pull a leaf or two but waiting till after Thanksgiving to see how it rides in the dirt. So far around town with zero shock tuning Its better already.

It did ok. Way better in small chop and cruising around. A tad to soft in the front for bigger stuff and to stiff in the rear. Need to pull a few leafs out but no idea where to start pulling
Per my understanding... the shorter the leaf's the stiffer they are. So you just pull the leaf's on the bottom of the pack. So since you're spring over then it'd be the leaf springs that are attached to the axle.

That makes sense. This is the first leaf truck I've ever messed with, everything else has always been linked

Few shots from the weekend

Little up date. Rear end decided it didn't want to live any more. So had to replace the open carrier with a limited slip and took the 4:88s out for a set of 4:56s. Also resprung the front end, pulled a few leafs and rebuilt/revalved all the shocks. Trucks just about ready for new years

I'm guessing the frames are similar width to a bronco/f150.

Seems like you can get work done quickly too... maybe a rad option to just do the swap.
