Yanked front mount of a hoop off in a washout on a trip. Luckily @84projectFORD has an on board welder. Unluckily I didn’t lift for the same washout on the way back and broke it off again.

even un-unluckier is that the kraut and i used some shitty rod's and had next to no experience arc welding.

maybe i should practice some.... supposably this missle rod i got is suppose to be the shit for off road welding

The three of us looking at each other trying to decide who’s gonna stick weld it was pretty funny.

Next trip I’ll try to break something again so you can get more practice.

Maybe we should make a thread about garage fuck-ups but last night I was replacing the crankshaft sensor on our 2008 BMW 328i and I snapped the aluminum bolt. Didn't realize it was aluminum. I wanted to go find the biggest hammer in my garage and beat that car to it's death after that.

Now I get to take apart the intake so i can drill out the bolt.

Yeah it will after I take like 69 bolts and sensors off to get to it... So pissed. The job was done haha.

I have more but it started getting depressing lol....they all have a story, for example the last one in the black dodge we were about 19 and decided to go snow wheeling during a blizzard, well...after getting one truck stuck then trying to get out in the dodge on 39.5"s it got put into a snowbank on its side, 4 dudes and a dog slept in that truck that night, we got reported missing after 26 hours or something like that (no cell service, Nokia days) and they sent search and rescue to find us, which they never did. The next morning we hiked out 7 miles in about knee high to waste high snow, found a guy with a snowcat and he yanked us out. The whole thing took about 2 days, we made the newspaper. Growing up in a small Northern CA town with not much to do we seemed to go 4wheeling alot.

The first pic was my bachelor party, 23 guys camping and 3 days of ridiculousness. We wrecked two trucks and a side by side, luckily we had caleb and his meat as camp chef. That pic is everybody's signature from the trip, Chris showed up day two before sunrise and it was a 3 wheeler before 8am.... I don't know where the bedside ended up, i heard flaunt or getch had it, I can't remember.

Found more...first pic we tried jumping a double in the property runner, didn't work. 2nd pic, my driveway and got hung up on the rear bumper, 3rd pic was the donor truck for the turbo bronco, I needed only the engine...it came off the trailer and 10 minutes later of rallying my property the good old c-clip 8.8 took a vacation

But wait, there's more.....f150 shakedown run, fuel cell gaskets came apart, plugged the filters....mount Shasta snow wheeling for my buddies birthday getting stuck, nor cal DR meet, winnemucca sand dunes stuck in the Harley truck, good old courier had a bad night at moonrocks, smoked the clutch on the ranger on the con and got towed out 4 miles, lots of body damage on the YJ, Ryan trail fixing a raptor via welding harbor freight wrenches to the spindle to get him out of there, stuck at Folsom Lake in another YJ (got arrested for that one, took it to court and got dismissed), chainsaw pic we had to get crafty to get my bronco2 out...
