Rolled outside so I could get on the cantilever rear shock setup on my f150. Once f150 is out I'll get the Tacoma back in the shop finish a few welds out back then assemble shocks onto the truck. After that's done ill spin truck around and get started on the engine cage, motor and trans mounts. Excited to fit the king kongs up front.
Ok back on the truck. Got motor and trans mounted up. Got steering figured out just need a few more parts final welded and inner tie rods double sheared.
Bronze bushings for pivots, PSC C10 steering box w/ ram and Nissan pathfinder steering gear transfer. I also switched to a 1" Outer heim to get a little more travel out of this truck. Tube through frame above driver swinger is to access the upper steering box bolt as its close to the frame and can get the bolt in due to length and angle. This is a kit that i will offer as a rack delete swing steering kit for these 1st gen tacos/3rd gen 4runners.
Motor and trans going back in so I can start on the engine cage and shock mounts after I do a little more clearance to achieve more travel since the truck has swing steering and getting 4.0s up front.
Gonna have to be some frame notching to clear the king kongs up front. I got the plan just need to do it to make sure it all clears, looks good and is stronger than ever.

Ok was double checking everything on the front end and I realized I had uca mounts welded onto the frame 3/8" too far back resulting in more caster than the kit wants. So I cut off the uca tabs, chopped front of frame off at lca mounts and cut outer factory stock bump mounts off the frame. Got the plates cut to box it all in and new uca tabs cut. Gonna get the frame plating in and uca tabs back on tomorrow.
