I just worked on it for like 4 hours! in all reality, that's equal to me getting about an hour an a half of work done before my faceplanting/retardation.
so fucking frustrating, you guys have no fucking clue.


anyways, i got my scrap bin organized and cleaned out! yay!

had my plasma guy at work cut me out 2 rectangular plates with a few random notches in them. no holes though, because fuck that.
papa got the 2 motor mount plates drilled and ready to bolt on & build motor mounts off of while i welded up some divits in the frame where the radius arm brackets are going to go, ground down one side. ill do the other side tomorrow.

I'm an idiot. I didn't weld up the divits on the driver side frame rails, just the holes.

Faaawwwkk. Its so much work for me to drag the fucking welder outside and set up. Ugh.

before my faceplanting, normally I'd just go stare at the buggy or truck and move beer #1 from spot A (fridge) to spot B (tummy) to spot C (IN the ranger/whatever i was working on, or trash can) and repeat........ until i just couldn't. or someone else did it for me. haha

Cut a bunch of plates out to build the radius arm pockets, and something got fucked in the drawing and they all came out wrong, or the guy running the plasma at work did something wrong and put the cut path on the wrong side, or something. So basically, all those plates are going to waste. I'm going to figure out what happened today and get more cut this week, even if that means I have to go out there and babysit the machine while it gets programmed and whatnot......

So, instead, I played arts and crafts yesterday for a few hours and made templates again to plate the outside of the frame over. I'll scan them in and trace them into DXF files today.

Do you guys think I should box the frame in, in the front of the truck, completely? I just think it's kind of pointless to box or plate the outside of the frame if I'm not boxing the entire frame in completely. I want to plate the outside of the frame in, mainly to cover all the holes and have a nice, clean, flat surface to build off of. But I'm just wondering if I should just box the whole frame in completely while I'm doing it. Do you guys think it's worth it or no?

planned for on the truck, traced and scanned in, now i just need to trace it in SW, then cut.

also, i redid the radius arm pockets and figured out what i did wrong. so ill have my shop guy cut those few new plates out this week as well.

OH OH OH OHHHHHHHH.

what's everyone's thoughts on what i should do for the "inner slots/holes/whatever the fuck they're called". the little holes or slots that i need to cut out "inside the outline" of the plate? fuckme. i forgot what it's called and its bugging the shit out of me!!!!!!!!!!!!
the notches to weld the middle of the plate to the frame area. motherareanotches. fuck!!!!!!! what's it called??!?!?

They can make you those as well but I think you’d need a file. Although I saw there’s a new AI app they use. Can’t say how much a non-laser cut part is though. Probably a lot more than the flat ones.
