Hey guys, working on a brand used set of SAW 2.5x14 coilovers for the the back of a buddies leaf spring yota, just to be used as a smooth body shock, and these things have a piston design I can’t find any info on the internet about. It looks like they were previously set up for trailing arms, they have some compression shimming and open rebound.image.jpg

Does anyone have any baseline of where I should start tuning these things? or is there a more traditional 2.5 (2.25 bore) piston I can put in so that I can throw a typical stack in?

Looks like someone had a theory on those lol. As stated above, Throw some rebound shims on it and open a bleed or two and run it. having no shims covering the rebound ports means that shock was just free bleeding most all of its effective valving and was used more as a coil carrier than anything else.

Those are the OG Swayaway Low-Flow pistons, so you can run fairly soft valving compared to king and the silver hi-flow Swayaway pistons
