2026 Losers Club

Never thought I would say this but I am struggling to hit calorie goals. Protein and fiber are fairly easy, but I find myself 200-400 short of the 2500 I was recommended daily.

I need to mix up my mornings and add some solid foods in place of, or in addition to the shake.
wait, isnt that a good thing if you are trying to loose weight?

yes, but everyone says I don't want to loose too fast. Something along the lines of your body goes into protection and uses muscle for food vs fat, slows metabolism, and other stuff. I am probably fine and we will see next Monday.

3-5 lbs a week is supposed to be healthy. But that also sounds like something someone who cant cut weight would say... Pussies 😁

I am still learning and likely know less than most of you guys... but last year i lost like 12-15 lbs the first 2 months and then like 5-6 lbs each month after... not sure if it was my eating that changed, or what... but 5-6 per month sucks. i wanna loose 30 each month.

I wouldn't sweat being plus or minus 200-400 calories on the day to day. Obviously you are eating the right things if you aren't hungry enough to want to the house... I eat a shit load of nuts...(i know GAYYYYYYY ) just looked it up .

A handful of macadamia nuts, typically 10-12 nuts or about 1 ounce (28g), contains roughly 200-204 calories, making them calorie-dense due to their high healthy fat content, with around 22 grams of fat and 2-3 grams of carbs and protein. Portion control is key, as they're a satisfying snack but can quickly add up in calories.

eat some of those and you'll be styling.

From what I am hearing it should be 12-20 a month to be healthy. But I am learning too. The calorie target would also theoretically lower each week as you lost as well. Your body needs less to operate at 290 than it did on 300. So if you eat the same things / amounts week after week and month after month, at some point you are going to equalize with your calories and you will stop losing. So if you want to continue to lose the same amount you need to maintain the same calorie deficit. That deficit can also be from exercise as well. Even the get up from your chair at work and forcing your self to go the long way to the water cooler every hr is extra step is extra calories burned. That is why I started my lunch laps. 375 calories and a boosted metabolism for my 1/2 hr walk.

I have cashews at my desk for snacking. Fully GAAYYYY as they look my dick. hey, it might be short but it sure is skinny.
A hand full (about 1/4 cup) is 164 cal, 5g protein, and 12g fiber. I just bought some Almonds at Costco that I am going to bring in as well.

I love Cashews. I have realized they aren't my best choice over some of the others Not really a big deal if you aren't trying to stay low carb.

The smokehouse almonds have been a long time go to for me also... I love the Macadamia nuts I just don't love how pricey they are.

Yeah, I am not watching carbs per say. I am just avoiding added sugars and crappie ones. Lots of clean foods have natural carbs. I gave away a bunch of non shelled macadamia nuts as I was tired of cracking them to eat each one.

Alright peeps. Let see them. What did you all do well, where could you have done better. I hit my target 5lbs but felt like I was eating too large of dinners to come close to my target daily calories. I am adding eggs with turkey this week for either breakfast or lunch in place of a shake. I think this will help a lot.

300.8 lbs

Eggs cups - spray/grease muffin pan. Line with turkey lunch meat (or any other I guess). I did two slices each because they are thin. Crack egg in the middle. Bake at 350 for about 25 min.

5:36 and on the peloton. Will weigh myself once I get showered.. feel like I am eating big dinners too. But they are salads so maybe not too bad?

300.1

The only thing dangerous in a salad is the dressing. I love Ranch but that is a no go when on the diet. I do Apple Cider Vinegar, Olive Oil, Guacamole with Salt/Pepper/Garlic whatever else seasoning for my "clean" dressing. But, yes, I was also eating way too big of salads the first week. Too much lettuce.

@Endless Trails
That’s true 👍 it’s all about the long haul. I usually hang around 192ish once I hit that weight I’ll probably need to incorporate some strength training to keep it rolling.

It is amazing what a diet change can do… 2024 I was in the 235 range cut out sugar first…. Then the sauces….

That is my absolute kryptonite… ranch, blue cheese, buffalo, bbq sauce you name it lol also I love “not healthy” salads

I love a buffalo ranch chicken salad with tendies... Chili's had a great one.
I have thought about trying to make a "clean" BBQ sauce to combat the processed sugar. I think it could be done with honey or blue agave where it still balances it with some sweet but it is a sweet your body will process better. Ketchup also has a ton of added sugar. Luckily you can find some clean salsa's if you stay away from the Pace style tomato based.

@Cleandezert the important thing is calories in < calories out on average per day.

I re-did the table on page 1 into excel. Should be easier to read and update. Unfortunately I could only drop it in as a picture.
Lets get those weigh in numbers for all the slackers. Anyone else want in?
