I just made it in and out of Safeway, with only a lunchable for Brogs, school lunch today. And that is it no cookies, no snacks, no, "just a quick cheap $2 Reese's", no, anything else.

I haven't done pictures or measurements other than scale, but I probably should have last week. :LOL: Even with the 15 lb drop I am heavier than I have ever been so I guess I could still do "before" shots.
My body has some aches and pains still. Happens sometimes going from eating everything that is wrong for you to eating clean. As the built up toxins start to flush it isn't always fun. Didn't help that I did way more sitting this weekend than I should have. The wind is cat 5 at my place and I hate the wind. My headaches cleared up last week from dropping coffee cold turkey.

Jake nailed this one. I wish I had taken photos when I was a whale at 270 lbs and hadn’t even seen the inside of a gym.

A word of caution for everyone just watching the scale - being in a high calorie deficit, greater than about 500 calories per day, will lead to muscle loss. In general, being short 500 calories per day will net about 1 pound loss per week, which sounds like shit but will help maintain muscle and give your skin enough time to shrink. You should decide based on where you are if sacrificing potentially substantial amounts of muscle is worth the fat loss.

Follow Jake’s advice (I know, I can’t believe I wrote that either) and take pics and measurements, keep or start lifting heavy shit, and trust the process. Some days you’ll fail, some weeks you’ll fail, just keep pushing.

There are no such thing as unrealistic goals, only unrealistic timeframes.

Other than "people who annoy you", I didn't know of banned words.
I don't know if it is a contest, except it aways is. But we have not really set any parameters. Some are just trying to lose a little and then there is me who is trying to lose a @WW_RANGER_X so pounds lost or percentages are harder to compete on.

I forgot this morning weigh in, so i will get that tomorrow to update. Was out in the desert all weekend, and actually did pretty decent, and didnt eat too shitty. Eggs for breakfast, Keto Wrap for lunch, and meet and salad for dinner... @desert_steve did force feed me some cookies.

Once I get 10 lbs down I’ll start adding in some strength training, mostly pull-ups and core stuff.
Just trying to cut out all the delicious holiday bullshit habits I got into.

I’ve also been trying to increase my soy intake. My wife has been complaining about how much of a sex machine I am… I hear that’s a good way to tone it down.

So i either didn't get a correct initial weigh in or i lost 3 pounds in a week lol. I put in new batteries and recalibrated my scale and i am now at 165.7 lbs. I did really good this week by replacing sodas with water, and all i really ate was chicken, high protein pasta and caesar salads. The beers are still flowing but i have been monitering them to get an average number weekly so i can slowly scale back from that.

Also i was drinking 2 Redbulls a day. I switched it up with Celsius. Super good and much better for you.

Are you lifting more where you might be bulking some adding muscle weight (not bad)? Or is you body saving some because of the change. Also if you are eating the same exact base meals all the time before and after the only way to lose is more calories burned than normal. It would be easier to cut or change some of the fuel going in vs hoping you run the motor strong enough to lean out the mixture.

Yeah, say no to soy. Other than the estrogen issues, it is also an allergen and I am sure other problems. It sounded like you were joking, but we even replaced soy sauce with coconut aminos in the fridge. Not quite the same if you were adding it post cooking to an Asian dish with white rice, but you should be eating brown rice than white for the sugars issue.

Got off the phone with the nutritionist. She said my calorie goal should be close to 2500 currently and at least 135g protein. Everything else I was logging was looking good. Some of the same as above, 2 lbs a week is a good maintainable target (if you are soft). Drink LOTS of water. meals should be high fiber and protein.

I got acess to the nutritionist through the Nourish App. The service is free with most insurance. The app has an AI meal logging where you take a picture (or not) give a description and they figure out the macros.

I tried to get selfies in the locker room. I will have my wife take some when I get home so they look okay. I will probably get measurements as well tonight. I was thinking about sprucing up the data page with and excel file as that post is going to get out of control through the year. Anything else you want to log. I was thinking weights and percent's, but could easily add belly and waist inches as well if anyone wants to track more.
