1976 Ford F100 from a distant land!

That F100 that Fekete just finished up is killer.

Who glass did they end up using?

Fekete has McQueen glass I'm pretty sure, that trucks budget is about 60x what my trucks is though! hahaha

It's too bad I can't see my OG build thread for G4 and other truck builds on Dez Rangers old forum. I had the whole truck documented with build notes on every tube. So much info like shock tuning, etc. Photos are all stuck on photobucket now. Hmm, I should probably go pay them to get those photos.

And I used to use the forums for motivation all the time. Now I just have to remind myself I dont need any new projects and to live vicariously through all you guys. lol

It's a shame that all the big forums fell off, I was so stoked to see this one getting used so frequently.

Though I also have a feeling this forum will motivate me to buy more projects I don't need hahah.

Aussies are wild.

If he needed a gearbox and couldn't buy it, He'd cast the aluminum case and machine the gears himself.

Nice job dude.

Hahaha honestly it's my stubbornness and need for a prerunner that is forcing me through all these obstacles. I wish some more of this stuff was off the shelf here!

Welcome dude ! F100 is looking good. Thanks for taking the time and posting up the build thread.

Elliott

Thanks mate, sick to see some old school style forums again. Always so much good info to be found!

Very cool truck!!

Appreciate it mate!

needs a BARRA, but that 351C has plenty of aftermarket support here in the US

I definitely considered a Barra, I'm a massive inline 6 fan too but when I look at the truck all I picture is v8 noises. Just don't know if the Barra would suit!

Barramundi all the fords!!!!

It's likely it'll end up with an LS based engine, the Ford purists over here are not going to be happy hahaha

i had a friend in high school who had a 77 F250, 4wd on some 44in TSL Super swappers, and the first time he parked next to me I knew something was wrong with it, popped the hood and it had a 350 under the hood. all fun and games build your own thing, and have fun

Hahaha! In all honestly, I have not explored the option of throwing some parts at the 351c, it seems to be very happy and healthy but I'm not sure that it will be the most cost effective way to make some reliable power. I'm still open to suggestions.

oh, the 351C is a solid choice, many a race car was built from a 351C been years, I had a mild cam in my 351, a set of head from some catalogue with a good port and a polish, had a mid rise intake and a holly 5140, and a set of long tube headers, and that got me in plenty of trouble with a set of Purple hornies header mufflers hung off that, use to piss off my neighbors starting up

I definitely need to do some research then, there's no shortage of parts for them over here either so that shouldn't be an issue!

Soooooo I want to get back into more exciting parts of the build but I decided to get my shit together and sort a couple of the jobs that I've been putting off. It was probably a good thing that I did so, because after pulling off the drip rails (that had been absolutely molested by the previous owner) I happened to find this lovely bit of hidden goodness. LUCKILY the other side was much the same and has already been fixed by yours truly, so I know how to sort out this fuckery and should be able to smash it out in a day or so and get back to more exciting bits and pieces.

I've been trying to make an effort to get through this mundane stuff while I'm motivated to work on it since it's much easier to find motivation to do the fun stuff.

Also I thought about putting together a build thread for my other rig, here in Aus I'd call it a tourer but over there I'd guess it falls into the overland category? However it's also been used as a swiss army knife truck, it's been jumped, rock crawled and done over 100,000km's all over Australia, been lived out of, crashed, drifted and seen all sorts of action. If it's something that you guys reckon worth putting together another thread for then I'll go dig up some photos and put something together. Here she is anyway:
