The bronco is getting there. Needs more tuning. Suspension needs a respring lighter up front and out back. Currently working on transmission tuning. Leaned the engine out a little and she runs better and smells less like fuel. lol

Front spring change was a big step in the right direction. Took it out 2 weeks ago and had a blast. Best it has felt so far. Also need to get the front gears installed and the 4x4 working sucks having to find someone to pull you out lol

Took this thing out to play last weekend and had an absolute blast running through the woods. Ended up blowing the rear ring and pinion up but not a big deal. It was used and made noise from the get go. Time for some fresh 5.38 gears. I planned to go up that’s why I hadn’t bought front gears yet.

Im not sure Ive seen a bronco chew all the teeth off a dana 44 ring gear. Very nice Bronco!

Pulled my 3rd member out and after tearing it down it appears the lower pinion bearing left the chat and lead to destroying the ring gear.

Impressive! I did the exact same thing to a 14 bolt in the 79 F250 I had. Bearing took a shit, ring and pinion met their maker, Too much power and some previous abuse and that’s all she wrote

New gears came in Sunday so Monday we set them up and finished putting the bronco back together last night. Went up to the 5.43 for the back. Front will get 5.38 as that’s the smallest pinion you can get for a d44

It's less than 1% difference between the two. The slip in the dirt more than allows for that difference.
