Hey all. I've wanted to build a prerunner for a long time, but have been mostly into hot rods and lowered trucks. I can fab, weld, wire, and do most work required. Not going to beam or link this truck, but I may build another in the future. Actually, I'd probably buy someone else's project and fix it.

I bought this truck about 7 years ago for $500.00. It's an '85 SR5 that rod #3 decided to make inspection windows on both sides of the block, so I have another 22RE to build. I had intended to make a fun cruiser out of it so I immediately lowered it and put on a set of BMW 17's.

Being that everything I have is lowered and I do a lot of coyote hunting I needed something to run dirt roads with, so this one is going UP.

So far I've bought lift spindles, upper A arms and dual front shock hoops from Custom Tube Works, 63" Chevy springs, a FabWorks 63" spring kit, a trussed 8.8, Hanneman Fiberglass front and rear fenders, and other miscellaneous stuff.

Welcome aboard!

so good! it's possible to low rider to prerunner... My Toyota pick up in a previous life was a low rider as well haha It's got the notched cross member for the Driveshaft prove it.

Ha! That's awesome!

Everything I have is lowered, including a '23 Ford Maverick, a '99 Suburban, a '85 Nissan 720, a '50 Ford Sedan, and more.

I've also had a number of lifted stuff too (Jeep on 37's, GMC pickup on 35's, Expedition on 35's), but never really anything like a prerunner so I'm looking forward to it.

Those 63’s won’t flex or perform as well as 62” sua Deavers if it’s not too late to change direction on those.

Good to know, thank you. I'll definitely consider that. The 63's were cheap and Deavers aren't. I'm not opposed to spending money where it makes sense though. Seems like lots of Toyota guys are doing the Silverado 63's but I don't know how many of them could actually compare them to Deavers.
