Tow Vehicles

Mine both were single cabs and had zf5s, both got over 20mpg. One had 3.55s and like 32ish tall tire with a service bed, the other had 4.10s and 39” Baja TAs. Only towed with the service truck a hand full of times, momentum was definitely your friend.
That makes sense, mine has the e4od. Not sure what gear it has, what ever is stock in the 10.25 rear end.

I have been wanting to build a centrifugal oil filter system in my shed so I can start cleaning waste oil to use as fuel.

I guess I’ll play. Had an 06 LBZ Sierra that started eating money and reluctantly upgraded… I think. 20’ Chevy 2500 LTZ with cognito UCA and fox 2.0. Haul a 35’ fifth wheel and planning on picking up a flat bed for the play truck this summer. Gotta sell my 16 4runner first.

Here is my tow pig 2014 ram 3500. Truck is fully deleted, leveled and a few other cool upgrades. Looking to change up the front suspension this year and upgrade to a Carli kit.

for the guys with newer diesels, what trucks are you liking best and having the least amount of issues with?

I am going to get a newer truck next year- looking into a 19-22 ford f350 diesel. I have had good luck with my 05 Duramax and i have friends that love their mega cabs. Just not sure whats the best route to go.

As a long time Duramax guy I’d personally buy a 15+ 6.7 ford if I had to buy one now. Not a fan of what the Italians are doing with the rams and the chevys have more issues than the other 2 brands on avg. No matter what you get you will more than likely be working on it just as much if not more than that 05 though.

Thats what i hear man. I am super apprehensive to buy a newer truck. I would for sure delete it though and i have the resources to do so.

My 05 is at 250k miles and its really tall with the 9" lift, i want something more mild setup for my family now that i have a kid.

Im kind of looking at something like this without the chase rack.

My 15 long bed and my wife’s Excursion. The truck tows my prerunner majority of the time and Excursion tows the boat to the lake. 9 seats and able to tow our boat is rad.

We did the front clip on the excursion with plans to make them match. Walker decided to stop making truck wheels in the middle of it put a wrench in my plans
