Tire load rating

Ive been a huge fan of BFG A/T for a long time now. Great tires in my opinion. Not a single issue in the last 5 sets ive had on multiple vehicles. Hell, i even have them on my travel trailer. Ranger had load C, Dodge has load C, Raptor has load E. My only gripe about the load E's is i have to run them at 28 psi to be comfortable. i've ran them that way since day one and they still look great after almost 25k miles. Words of advice, buy new, never buy used tires.

Load D. Why is no one talking about them? I saw BFG makes a KM3 in a 37" load D that i may consider for my Raptor.

I've had a stick through the sidewall (15 years ago and friend making a u turn in my truck. Went too wide and drove through a bush), but that's the only sidewall issue I've had. They were passenger rated Yokohama Geolander AT-S. I am not a fan of thick sidewalls. I'd don't absolutely smash my truck around, and try to be careful with line choices. The comfort of thinner sidewall is more important to me, especially for getting rid of RZR chatter. I keep a pack of this glue in my truck in case I do rip a sidewall.

where do you guys get tires? i just looked at americas tire, i like getting tires and the warranty through them because they are everywhere and if i need to use the warranty its convenient usually, but jesus its been a while i guess since ive gotten tires cause $300- $400 a tire for 285/70/17 or 285/75/17 BFG, TOYO, Falken, etc means i guess working some OT and running the tires fucking bald is my current option, haha

Still use discount mostly but yeh prices have gotten crazy in the last 2-3 years…

I usually buy tires from the cheapest shop that I can find them, but I normally buy one from discount/ america's tire with the warranty. So if I ever get a flat, I can just bring in that one tire to warranty it. I've never had a problem with doing that with them, but I always have them bought at the same time. So the date code matches just in case they checked it

In and around LA it’s almost impossible not to find low miles used tires in almost any size on OfferUp / Marketplace / IG. Haven’t paid over $600 for a set of 4 in awhile.

I saw some guy with K02 37"s in a load range D also.

Check out my K02s thick sidewall being tested against a sharp rock. I just happen to get out and saw this.

This is why I'm a big fan of the olde BFGs.
I saw some guy with 37" kanatis and each tire had a bubble on the sidewall from the cords internally separating.

Be nice talking about Kanatis! Lol
Just switched over to them. Fingers crossed. Never been a fan of BFGs. 2 sets I’ve owned both sucked. KM2 blew out on the highway, ATs chunked to shit quickly.
