V8 noises have been made! Lots of wiring to clean up but she starts and doesn’t throw any codes….yet. The evap system is gone, so that will eventually throw a CEL.

Clamps I used for the radiator hose suck and don’t seal. I’ll have to change those out. I need to program the fan still too. Lots of work left to do, but starting this thing was monumental for me. IMG_6082.webp

Looks awesome, like it was meant to be there!

I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to convert the underhood evap canister to the landcruiser style under the floor to clear up space in the engine bay. That's a future project though.

Just like mine does every time I disco the battery. Fires for a second, dies, then fires right back up. Congrats!
Lots of fun to be had. Can't wait to see it.
 
Cooling system done and fan programmed. Zero leaks. The ZL1 fan pulled the temp down from 210 to 190 is a few seconds when it kicked on. It should have zero issues keeping this thing cool.

I’ll start putting everything back together and drive this thing tomorrow.

Next is the 32 gallon fuel tank.
