RPG issues

This has been all the talk on a few FB Raptor pages im on. Watched the video over the weekend. What a shit show. Very interested to hear RPG's side of the story. They have a huge following in the raptor world.

RPG was super nice the few times i went in there... the last few times i contacted them it seemed like they were struggling as i was having a hard time getting ahold of them, and when i went into the shop it was a ghost town..... have read probably those same stories @WW_RANGER_X has as well, which sucks as they were super nice to me.

watched the rest of the video... holy crap. dude spent alot of money... its sad but i feel like our sport has alot of these shops. take alot of money get in over thier head and then run.

Another business screwing over customers. Never pay in full up front, never say ok on lead times and not hold the shop to those dates and lead time's always anticipate double the time.

So we have an order pending on payment from RPG. I sent them an email and left voicemail. Will report back if they actually get us payment for the Fox 2.5 air bumps

I think there was as much error on the customers side as RPGs LOL. A lot of mistakes both ways and a learning lesson for both. This is by no means OK but unfortunately this is not uncommon in this industry. Most people just don't have the energy after all is said and done to document it so well. You know your experience was bad when your comparing how fast Kibbe is busting out trucks haha. Kibbes builds take some time, but at a much much higher caliber than I have seen RPG produce. I feel for the guy, but there were many red flags and he kept on going deeper. Hopefully that salesman at RPG got fired, this fuck up cost them a lot of potential revenue

Yeah I'm sure there's a few of Kibbes customers that have had issues too, maybe not to this extent but they're not perfect from what I've heard from people

interesting that it shows RPG has moved to Lousinana or something, but they still show So Cal on social media... that is something as a consumer i would want to know right away. I work pretty close to RPG and see trucks rocking thier wraps all the time.

And their resale certificate we just got from them yesterday shows. 31878 Del Obispo St 118 502, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675

They probably use UPS store and suite 118 is UPS store and 502 is their box number

just checked, suite 118 is a ups store... i am pretty close to that shopping center and i was going to say there is no way RPG is in there.

Ok so their manufacturing went to Louisiana because the overhead in Cali is too much. I just talked to him on the phone. Owner Corey is on a cruise currently so couldn't talk to him

So where is their shop? thier website says LA, and the landlord from RSM is sueing them for breach of lease... Where are they asking you to ship the shocks too?

Is it just me? but if i am being sued for hundreds of thousands of dollars, i likely wouldnt be going on a cruise... unless i guess i am so rich that those lawsuits dont scare me?

That UPS store is their shipping address. Flying under the radar it appears since they have lawsuits against them for back rent and such.

They had a different billing address for CC but I can't access it now that it's saved as a credit card token in our system

man, the unfortunate trend in the automotive aftermarket is companies not giving a rats ass about reputation or quality. Really bums me out, for real. I've bought a bunch of parts lately that show up and just straight up don't fit or work like they've claimed.

Best thing to do has been to buy from distributors with really really good return policies & build as much of your own stuff as possible.

Yeah I've had to be more careful ordering stuff in advance becuase if it doesn't work and it's 6 months later a lot of vendors say sorry it's past our return window of 30 or 90 days

It's funny, when i was building my ranger i could call any given company i was buying specific product from and would have most of it in just a few days. Shit, The Fab Lab caged it in less than 2 weeks. Now that i have the raptor, 90 percent of the raptor specific parts ive ordered through various companies either never showed up and i fought for a refund, or i got them in 3-4 months. Currently in the same situaton with Foutz Motorsports. No calls, no emails to let customer know that part is out of stock or is built to order. They take your money and ghost you until you start bugging them. Im all for waiting as long as there is good communication. I've ordered quite a bit of Gen 3 raptor parts for work from RPG and it was always smooth sailing.

yeah man. size doesn't seem to matter either.
i've been waiting a month for an ignition coil wire from Davis Unified Ignition that was supposed to be in stock.

Had a similar experience with Evil Motorsports. The only reason I sent my housing there is I asked Currie who they recommended to have my snouts welded in. Months later than estimated to get it done, the owner told me he pays the guy at Currie a kickback to recommend his shop. Dumb dumb mocked up the rotors on the outside of the hubs on my Dana 60 hubs and ended up making the housing an inch shorter on each side and drilled out the rotors so they had to tack weld the studs to the rotors after. It worked out as far as width alright with it not super narrow compared to the front, but that shop didn’t know anything that they claimed they knew when I spoke with Currie and them from the start of the debacle.
