PILE oh shit bronco 86

I have a trip coming up in 3 weeks and before I redid the front I had already completely rewired the whole bronco and added sniper so it took me 1 hour to make the battery set up and get the truck started again. Will be moving and adding a second battery to the back after this season.
Sounds good. Looking forward to hearing how the sniper works out.

The sniper system is the best money I have ever spent on a truck. Truck gained 4 mpg and a ton of responsive power from when I had my carb set up.
Oh nice! I missed where you said you installed it.

You have a c6 so no trans controller needed right?

Are you using the holley distributor?

Welp got the rear all button up also got a quick front bumper made that’s temporary until I get fiberglass and switch front end years. Had a hell of a time setting up the rear shackle hanger but got it cycling 15in smoothly.

“Switch front end years”?

Whatchu talkin bout Willis!

That front end is beautiful!

I reached out to McNeil to make glass for the Bullnose trucks, they responded saying we need at least 10 people interested in a set for them to start. So lets get a list going
That would be sick because if there was a nice set of fenders I think ppl would stop switching to the newer years

The bronco went on its first trip with all the new suspension. Did 270 mil off-road drove it from home back home. My windshield blew out to my bronco being way way to stiff also probaly why I had two engine bolts fall out. Was able to duct tape windshield and find new bolts for the engine mount. There are two arp engine bolts on Mojave trail now.

Great trip. Mojave has been on my to do for too long.

Surprised about the windshield. Never seen that happen.

So I have had a couple ppl ask me about my steering. On the 280 mile trip I never felt a jerk in the steering wheel didn’t feel bump steer the steering felt quick and smooth. Pretty good option for a stronger steering at a cheaper price point.

I drilled all the holes to 5/8th to fit for the heims.

after cleaning and looking over the bronco after 270 off-road miles I found my trans mount blew out I thought I heard a loud noise on bigger bumps. There was well over an inch between the bolt and transfer case. Before the trip.

After the 270mile trip I got everything fixed on the bronco. Traded a friend my 35s for his 37s and upgraded the front to 5/8 studs. For Holloway we did a day trip to Lucerne and right before I decided to revalve the rear shocks. Found out why they were so bad and stiff. Removed 4 shims from the compression and the rear is way way better. Still stiff but I don’t have a spare or rear set in so once those go in I should be good. Also took my daughter on her first trip in the bronco she loved it. Only issue after the trip was a coil collapsed but I’m way over spring as it is and hopefully getting new coils this week.
