PILE oh shit bronco 86

Are they advertising 17” of travel on a 12” shock?
15” of travel on a 12” shock seems about right. But then I don’t have any experience with the solo or desolate kits. 🤷

I wanna say I’m getting 16.5” of travel on a 14” shock but I’ve got the drop brackets which gives me a little more up travel.

Ya they advertise it as 17in of travel my buddy built his bronco and his +2 kit is getting 16.5 as well bumped and strapped but using a 14in shock

Bronco looks good. No idea how much travel I have with my stock width cut and turned beams on my f150 but it works good so i DGAF if I have 15 or 16 or 17 or 18" of travel. Offset middle 1350 u-joint with a D50 inner stub was key since the stock one would bind a slight bit and broke the c-clip off the u-joint and deformed the yoke so I couldn't even replace it if I wanted to.

I have the Solo engine cage/mount and was able to cycle 14.5" on stock width beams with a 12" shock before the passenger axle rubs the beam.

And yes you need to clearance the pass beam window where the axle goes through to get the full travel out of these TTB front ends.

Haven’t even gotten to that point I know I can clear 18in of travel so trying to get to that point first then will do all the cleaning needed.

Yeah it's one thing a lot of people overlook when building these TTB front end's. They don't fully cycle everything with the axles installed and turn lock/lock as it cycles.

I had to grind out the stub shaft coming out of the 3rd for the U joints not to bind like you said. So far no issues. Is the Dana 50 stub a direct swap? Doesn't use a different spline or 3rd member seal?
