obs chevy ttb conversion

hey fellas

trying to get some help/info on doing a ttb swap on my 98 silverado obs, ive seen a few trucks done floating around.

would it be easier to reclip the front of the truck with a bronco chassis? or just make pivots for the silverado frame?

You may be able to make the Cho crossmember work for your older truck. Contact them to get frame width and I would bet it would be the same because chevy.

I'd definitely say grafting a bronco/f150 frame on is the way go to.

Scott VPT just did another TTB Tacoma and he used the CHO Chevy crossmember with box tubing frame and he said' that's the best way to go for him on his build BUT he's doing full kill LS swapped TTB Tacoma

i believe the giant stuff is for the older c10 trucks

Yeeah giant does 2wd equal length beam kits for lots of trucks. TTB is a whole different animal over 2wd beam swaps. Those are much easier and more straight forward over a TTB swap.

Yeah, Thats what I was thinking of.

I vote talking to Cho and see what he says then what Bodj said. In that order.

But, I have less experience than all these guys so take it for what its worth.

If you can get a bronco frame, which i have un my yard, and can get them to match up that's a good backup plan to cho crossmember

well i think ive got a plan for the build, some of the crew went out to the pismo arm drops this weekend and we spotted a white obs that was beamed and linked, from a far it sure looked like some diy offroad parts.

so thats my plan 2wd to try and keep it some what "simple" and with the help of @BFAB we should have something pretty cool.

yeah i just liked the idea of having 4wd but would probably never use it anyway.

I really need to finish the few projects in my shop and get my Tundra kit finished then I'm going to finish my design for my ttb crossmember. Similar to the Jax motorsports kit they sold for d44 ttb on the XJ.
