Hey fam. Ryan here. Previously on DR bassist21685.
I’ve been MIA for a minute. Had knee surgery, had to relearn to walk, then had a few heart attacks and then heart surgery. I got put through the paces but ultimately had to sell my s10 prerunner.
I ended up buying a Silverado and now want to DOD delete because I have some pitting on my valves causing a unmetered air condition.

I have a 2008 Silverado 5.3 LMG 4x4.
Lifters are starting to tick and I borescoped, found some pitting on the valves, so I’m going to take the heads off to lap the valves and replace the lifters.

I decided I’m going to remove the DOD.

While I’m in there I’d like to upgrade some parts.

Can anyone help me verify the parts I’ve written down will work?

Can anyone recommend a camshaft that will be better than stock for a daily driver with a stock tune?

I have a handheld Diablo sport tuner to turn the DOD off. However I am in a California smog county. So I’d like a cam, if possible to work with a factory tune(regardless I need a new cam for the DOD delete).
I’ve started to compile a list of parts to upgrade and replace while I’m in there. I’m not 100% sure they will fit or are the best option. If anyone has a minute to check out my list and verify that it would work, I’d very much appreciate it.. or if there is a better “kit” that you used or know of, please let me know!

So that’s what I’ve found so far. I messaged Texas speed, Michigan Motorsport and even scoggin-dickey. Asking for info regarding a comprehensive DOD delete kit under $900-1000 and have not received any response.

So if anyone can point me in the right direction of a camshaft (plus maybe springs and rods) and anyone who’s done this could let me know if my list is good! Hahaha.
