My (Not-a-2004) 2000 Ford Ranger SINGLE CAB

Don’t weld em in until you fit the motor, I had to leave mine super loose to get everything to line up and it was a nightmare

Got the motor 90% of the way mounted. Going to drill an access hole at the bottom of frame rails so i can fasten the motor mounts to frame instead of welding them on. Thinking of doing a "washer" plate around the openings so i can leave the opening in place

Made some more progress today. Some access holes for the motor mounts in the frame.

Dumb question, is there anything I can get rid of on the 4.0 to clean up the engine bay? I’ve seen other peoples swaps and it does not look as cluttered with wires and hoses like mine does right now. Or do they just organize everything really nice and it only appears to be less cluttered?

Update: Truck is a runner 👌🏽 back in December i was able to get the truck to turn on but was having some issues with a rough idle. Made some adjustments and turned over today (holidays, busy with life, and honestly lost a bit of motivation, so barely got around to it) and the truck runs nicely now! I ordered JBA headers and am looking for shops that can build the exhaust from the header back. I’d like to do an X-pipe on the exhaust too, some trucks I’ve seen online sound tits with an x and shorty headers.

If anyone has any shop recommendations for the exhaust in north county San Diego, please let me know.

Aside from the motor I mounted the winters shifter to the auto trans using an e4od winters kit. I just need to build a center console to mount the shifter.

Pretty excited and ready to get the truck running and driving again!

RPM (Richards Performance Muffler) does all kinds of custom stuff but can be pricey, located in Oceanside. Warner's Muffler is where I got my chokemaster welded onto the front factory piping with all custom piping behind the muffler to rear and it turned out well, located in Oceanside.
