Hi Everyone :) I'm new here and could really use some guidance and help please. I have a 1992 Ford Ranger 2WD 4-cylinder / 2.3L, and it is the only thing I own that is of any "value". I have been taking good care of it and last May I let my teenage son borrow it and unfortunately he really messed it up. I've been driving through the pains but recently I discovered that my axle bracket is bent and it's now undriveable. It's part # E3TZ-3B178-A. I have been searching online for literally 40+ hours searching for an alternative to this discontinued part (why would they discontinue it?) and have only found one aftermarket option on autofab, and much much more than I can afford. I'm a low income mom of 4 and recently finally got out of a really bad situation, I could really use a little TLC if anyone can please help me find this part I so desperately need. I am so thankful to have found this forum and would be soooooooo grateful for help. Thank you so much in advance :)

That part number turned up as a beam pivot bracket when I interwebzed it.

Couple questions for @momx4
1. Are you sure this is the problem?
2. What are the symptoms causing the ranger to be undrivable?
3. Are there any junkyards local to you, and have you (or your son that inflicted this damage) ever pulled parts at a junkyard?

If this actually is the only affected part, it should be at every junkyard across the entire country… removing it will take some work

Do you have an OF we can donate to in order to help make your Ranger great again?

That's the most DR comment I've seen in a long time on here lol.

Only because I’m just now seeing this thread……..

Am I allowed to unleash the furry, or naaahhh?!?!?

OP/ m_aw_m original poster:

Who told you that the beam bracket needs to be replaced? I highly doubt that’s your problem…… that’s not even close to a “standard problem”?
