Just another old beamed ford

Alright peeps with older F-series trucks and Broncos that didn’t come with 3rd brake lights from the factory.
Has anyone added an aftermarket LED 3rd brake light to a rig that did NOT come with one originally and had trans issues? I’d like to keep my e4od alive, but I also want to add a 3rd brake light because people in SoCal can’t drive. Thinking about tapping into the brake light switch pigtail.

Also does anyone know of a dust light housing on the market that will bolt in and replace the little cargo light on the ‘93 and older F-series trucks? This is all I got at the moment. Trying to avoid cutting a bigger hole in my cab if possible IMG_1719.webp

And a good friend of mine gave me a VERY old BFG and factory Outlaw-style wheel I’ll use as a backup spare tire for my other spare tire, because I’m a hoarder lol. Sad to say that my work truck cannot fit 35s (n)

Idk why I didn’t think of this sooner, figured I’d share this here in case any other OBS Ford guys wanna do the same upgrade. I used all the same part numbers on my truck, can be found easily on Amazon or eBay cheap. Can’t remember who shared this on GFB back in the day, but I probably owe him or her a beer.
Should specify these part numbers are for the beefier F250 ‘ambulance’ steering upgrade.

Nothing exciting, got a new (to me) Grip Royal suede steering wheel and NRG quick release mounted to a Chinese knockoff of the NRG hub adapter, got a horn button but I think I’m going to just run wire from the stock horn button pigtail under the steering column to a button on the Amazon switch pros lookalike panel I’m going to install. Swapped in a new pair of 5100s to the rearend. Got a Cutless Designs dome light housing and a couple Kc cyclones to replace the crappy stock setup, still gotta wire those up. Finally got some AC parts and a new wiper motor on order cuz I got tired of not having ac and working wipers lol picked up some paint for my Methods to try something goofy, but if I hate it I’ll probably end up having them stripped and polished anyway. I love how light weight and classic looking the Alcoas are, but I’m tired of them rubbing on my radius arms. I know I could run spacers but I always planned to put the methods back on anyway, just waiting to repaint them and then order a set of Kanati mud hogs off eBay. Will probably keep the old ko2’s mounted on the Alcoas just in case I feel like swapping them around again

Anybody wanna trade me their old factory OBS headlights/corner lenses for these faded black housing units? I’ll throw in the led headlight bulbs :ROFLMAO: Going back to HIDs once I get around to replacing the housings, the LEDs work fine, definitely better than stock, but in this style housing the light pattern isn’t very focused

Cabs starting to rust around the back window so I think I’m going to pull the window to inspect the extent of the rust, repair whatever it is, reseal my drip rails while I’m at it, and then probably swap in a solid back window and ditch the slider. I like having the sliding back window for the dog but the dumb plastic latch breaks every other time I try to open it and I’m tired of replacing it IMG_5379.webp

Doggo assisted with mounting my new Cutless Designs dome light housing. Looked awesome but didn’t work, which was weird..

..found the culprit, door sill plate screw rubbing thru/pinching the harness and melted almost all the wires together. Cut everything apart then reattached them with different sized butt connectors but all the same color replacement wiring to absolutely confuse the shit out of future me. (It’s all I had available at the moment).
Yes my cab floor is filthy. This truck’s number one job is and always will be doing ranch truck things so it stays dirty a lot. I’ll vacuum it ..eventually.

Super happy with the output of the diffused lens cyclones. Very bright but I feel like the lenses soften it up a little so it’s not so overbearing.

Re-mounted my TT Motorsports floor jack mount and skid (thanks Tommy). Yes I kept the release handle facing the bedside, it’s so I don’t break it off sliding lumber or firewood in and out of the bed. Also slapped on some late model ford factory tie down points from a decommissioned truck at work. Positioned them higher on purpose for when I need to secure taller/lighter loads using a bungee net.

New ac compressor, accumulator, low side pigtail, etc from Rockauto. Nice to have ac again.

Drove it to work for the first time in a few months, an EMT I work with parked his ‘95 behind me. He’s got a rad old school setup with what I think is old Camburg bushing radius arms. His truck is 2wd with a 300 six and a 5-speed. The back of his cab is converted into one larger jump seat that folds into a sleeping platform.
