That's the plan. The sonoma has everything to be 4x4 except correct front gears and a driveshaft. Plus the turning radius is garbage (especially with the spool) and I don't want body damage weaving through tight, 4x4 trails.

Last Chance Canyon to Burro Schmidt Tunnel is always a good time. Then there's Camp Bickel, Talc Mine and numerous cabins in that area. Then out through The Narrows makes for a nice loop that spits you out near Randsburg Ghost Town.

Not if you have any sort of lift. We did this route 2 weeks ago and had a stock TJ with plastic side steps and city slicker tires. This was his first time wheeling and we got him though without getting the strap or any damage.
Last Chance is very entry level for rock crawling.

Correct. Last Chance Canyon is a sand wash canyon that has B line offshoots that are more challenging.

I was more in the mood to setup camp, put around Jawbone/dove springs and day drink a bit on Friday. But that shouldn’t stop anyone from doing a bigger Friday run if there is an appetite.

I decided to back out of this. Chels is gonna be 7 months pregnant and not down to road trip in a crappy SAS truck. I'll give up my spot to someone with kids who wants to go. I'll do a day trip somewhere else closer lol

@4lowlance I think I have to back out. I still don't know what is the deal with my truck. I am not taking Shane's jeep on that big of a trip. The Lockwood / Cottonwood / Miller Clean up this weekend is more important. Too much stuff scheduled not enough time and money.
