Godzilla powered Bronco build

My 16 year old started driving it to school and the thing got hot on him and lost a head gasket, and in true fashion I couldn’t leave things alone so I pulled the motor and had the block and crank machined for a set of 10:1 forged pistons and put it together with some decent heads.

While I was saving money and building the engine I took it a step further and decided to figure out how to do a cut and turn on the beams built extend radius arms built an engine cage and added 64” spring under giant Motorsports’s kit. Got some used shocks and also geared it while I was at it.

Took it down and got it dynoed once it was all back together and the 351w managed to put down 300 foot pounds and the tire.
I was really impressed with how this thing ran and how good the truck worked in the dirt. Only complaint was those cheep Ironman tires I put on it. They sucked so bad I pulled them off after one trip.

After a successful desert season, outside of eating 4 or 5 8.8 ring and pinions and a few trips to Mexico we planned to dive into a roll cage for “Saftey” the following summer….
Now it started as a cage but in the back of my mind I had big dreams to link it and extend the beams and add bigger shocks …. But I barely had the money to buy the DOM tubing when I started cutting it up lol.

I'm really interested in knowing the details of the Godzilla swap as well.
Hey there Brad .

I had this Godzilla motor going about 5 years ago when there was nothing out there…

I custom made everything and I using OBR control systems.

I had it in the truck with the firewall and ac in place, but with all the 4link and suspension stuff I have going on I didn’t like the motor location because of driveline angles .

I ended up cutting out the who firewall dash and ac. Moved the motor back 5” and down almost 4”

I get some more photos up of the last phase of the build

This was Godzilla #2
Motor # one left that chat at 981 miles, lost compression on several cylinders due to a combo of the tune and the OE pistons not able to party as hard as me and the bronco…. I was racing a buddy down the rail road track towards plaster city , he has a similar bronco with a Patton SBF , even shooting ducks I made it to the plaster mine way before him . Telling the wife the motor was blow up but we won the race was an interesting conversation.

I knew it was making metal at that point and the trailer was 35 miles away, but I just sent it back to camp .

We are still on motor #2 with 2500 miles on it making 438 wheel Hp and 458 foot pounds on the 40” tires through a Transfercase.

We dynoed this thing with pump 87 in it and swung the timing all over the place. Settled at 21.5 degrees of timing with the goal of it will live on Pemex .

I have been working on motor #3 for almost a year .
I have a legendary motor builder doing a max effort 3.0 whipple motor. Last I talked to him he said it was very close. Only problem is this truck is already very rowdy with the power it’s got so we are kicking around idea of building a race truck for the new motor #3

This bronco is awesome. Has so much power and works so good. More power is definitely gonna be too much for this thing I think.

That looks like Jared Schaffer's crew cab square body. Beamed, linked, BBC, backhalf broke off and has been fixed. Sick Truck.

But yes WTF is up with the penthouse lance camper. appears to be ontop of a shipping container but why?

am i the only one thats noticing WHAT IN THE HEAVENS NAME HOLY FUCK LORD IS THE CAMPER IN THE BACKGROUND WITH 10 YARD LONG JACKS ON IT????

WHAT AM I NOT SEEING OR REALIZING?!?!?!?!

Godzillabronco1.jpg

Am I the only one wondering how the hell that camper in the background made it up there? Thing looks like its 15+ ft in the air and might have a wooden porch thingy? Inquiring minds want to know.

In top corner of windshield you can see the corner of a shipping container that it appears to be sitting up on, for some reason.
