Godzilla powered Bronco build

My 16 year old started driving it to school and the thing got hot on him and lost a head gasket, and in true fashion I couldn’t leave things alone so I pulled the motor and had the block and crank machined for a set of 10:1 forged pistons and put it together with some decent heads.

While I was saving money and building the engine I took it a step further and decided to figure out how to do a cut and turn on the beams built extend radius arms built an engine cage and added 64” spring under giant Motorsports’s kit. Got some used shocks and also geared it while I was at it.

Took it down and got it dynoed once it was all back together and the 351w managed to put down 300 foot pounds and the tire.
I was really impressed with how this thing ran and how good the truck worked in the dirt. Only complaint was those cheep Ironman tires I put on it. They sucked so bad I pulled them off after one trip.

After a successful desert season, outside of eating 4 or 5 8.8 ring and pinions and a few trips to Mexico we planned to dive into a roll cage for “Saftey” the following summer….
Now it started as a cage but in the back of my mind I had big dreams to link it and extend the beams and add bigger shocks …. But I barely had the money to buy the DOM tubing when I started cutting it up lol.
