I put so much work into it making it fresh again, it definitely sucks that it’s all going to get blasted first trip out. I’m going to be listing the truck for sale and wanted it fresh in case it does sell. If it doesn’t sell it’ll get beat on again this season
Sell it. It didn’t even make it to koh….Explorer is so much cooler since the fam can fit. Plus, I’ll flash you again if you’re in the explorer.

The explorer is definitely a good “do it all decently” family rig. If my truck does sell, I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet. Part of me wants to buy a 1450 truck and go racing, part of me wants a sand car, part of me wants a big boy prerunner. I’m too retarted to do anything smart with money, so I’m sure I’ll end up buying something stupid.

Pretty crazy feeling letting this thing go, but with a kiddo here now and plans for another, it’s time to move on from the single cab life. 10+ years of building this thing.
I had a buyer lined up in Phoenix for last weekend and ended up getting a call from King on Friday mentioning that they wanted it. I told them that I already had a sale lined up, and they offered me more than what the other guy was planning on giving me. Met them in Glamis yesterday and made it happen.
I’m stoked they got it and excited to see what they end up doing with it. Apparently they’re going to stuff fancy 3.5s all the way around it.
With that being said, I’m on the hunt for a 3/4 seat truck. Preferably an old beamed ford. If anyone is thinking of selling let me know!

In a perfect world I’d build a full size from scratch, but I can’t financially justify that. I’m hoping to buy an old beamed ford that’s at least partially done. We’ll see what happens. Until then I’m just gunna be cruising my explorer around with the wife and kiddo

Glad you were able to make the sale, but I'd be pissed if I were the guy that had already agreed to a price with you and was just waiting for the weekend to meet up and grab it.

Why? My post had the price listed and said or best offer. Why would I sell it for less? I reached out to him and told him I was offered $3,000 more and he said okay my offer still stands let me know if they don’t get it. He hadn’t even seen the truck in person yet

I think it means something when someone agrees to a price and then sells it out from under them. Had it happen to me a few times and it's frustrating. I get it - $3k isn't chump change, but I'd still be bummed.

I gave him the opportunity to pay the same amount as my other offer and he denied it. That’s not on me. If he really wanted it he could’ve throw $3,000 more down and gotten it

Ahhh that makes sense. Yeah it seems like you had a date schedule and agreed price.
I don't blame you in this day and age of "is it avalible" and generally flakey people I wouldn't take anyone's word or hold things until the person was standing in front of me with cash. Shit when I sold my tundra I had a guy ( on this forum) call and have a 45 min convo where we agreed on price and a time for him to come by and pick it up. Exactly. I thought I had this truck sold 4 or 5 times. All of them ended up disappearing when it came down to it. Not one person even showed up to look at it.
Shit aint sold till you have a deposit or cash in hand. If I held everything Ive sold for someone who said they were "coming this weekend" Id still own everything Ive ever had. If your a serious buyer you arrange your schedule to make it happen or you leave a hefty deposit. Congrats on the sale!

My brother agreed to meet the following morning to buy a boat. We were on the road for two hours already to pick it up the next morning when the guy texted that he sold it.
