Finamore built single cab

That IBP is radical! Interested to hear your thoughts once you try them out.

I’ve got a couple trips on them already. Really impressed with them right out of the box. My truck seems to finally be getting to the point where it’s reliable enough to shock tune. Hoping to get it dialed in this season

Random update/post. I ended up grenading the input drum on my 4L60 at the dunes. Truck was fine all weekend until I went to make a pass down the drags on the last night. Shifted from 1st to 2nd and ended up with more neutrals than desired. I told myself once that trans let go I’d convert to a th400.

Found a $300 marketplace th400 and had it built. We had to change a couple things to make it work. New shift gate and linkage, new cross member, etc. Got it slapped in and made one more dune trip at the end of February.

Had a big Bad Lines moment. I typically lead the dune rides for our group. We were out in the middle of Gordon’s headed towards Patton and some of the group was falling behind. I stopped and waited for them at a shitty downhill/off camber spot with a straight up wall in front of me. I tried to steer left and power out of it but my front end pushed and I went straight into it. Got super lucky that my brother in law was with me in his jeep on 40s with a winch. Beams were completely under the sand. Whole rear end was under the sand. Rear bumper was on the ground. I’d probably still be out there if he wasn’t there to tug me out. Had a few miller lattes and kept on dunin IMG_8274.jpegIMG_7954.jpeg

Just got done doing some front end prep/maintenance. New rotors, pads, wheel bearings, king pins.

I also just grabbed this cool roof scoop from Cole Edmonds. He built it and had it on his red raingutter. I haven’t mounted it yet, but it will direct air straight at my trans coolers. It also adds some style points imo. Not sure if I’m going to leave it black, or get it powdered grey to match the side of the truck. IMG_8600.jpegIMG_8606.jpeg

Tore the back half apart to do a pre-season/for sale prep

- Fuel cell needed a ”rebuild”. New pick up tube, gaskets, dipstick, and i will be getting it powder coated because I can’t stand red :ROFLMAO:
- Re-paint entire back half. The front side of all of the tubes are sand blasted and bare metal from the dunes
- Powdercoat upper links
- Go through rearend and make sure everything looks gucci. Repaint housing, fresh oil, etc
- Replace sun dried hoses. Fuel filler, fuel cell vent, diff vent, etc
- Have the trailing arms boxed in. The “shock pockets” are open and I’ve always hated that. The links fill with sand and water. Powdercoat links
- New limit straps
- New Y strap for spare
- Polish the trunk 💅

How is everyone routing their diff breather? I had a breather vent zip tied to the tube on the top of the trunk space and just had rubber hose with a couple feet of slack in it to allow droop. The hose ended up finding its way under the bump stop and split. Looking for ideas on a better/cleaner way to mount.

My diff breather runs up the upper link next to the brake hard line then up the chassis to the window line and ends in a clear plastic fuel filter. Lots of rubber hose but it's never had oil spit out the top or water get in.

What kind of hose do you use? I've replaced my breather hose twice now and both crack pretty badly at the housing nipple

Since you love my back half so much, I’ll let you copy something off it. Up the link, 180 back up the chassis where the fuel vent meets, and ran together to over the rear axle. You also have to leave one zip tie uncut, as you can see.

Why dump it back over the axle instead of up higher? Also, what’s the benefit of leaving one of the zip ties uncut?

Honestly no real reason, other than the fact I saw it on a trophy truck 🤣. We ran the fuel cell vent that way first and decided to follow it to make match. This isn’t really a truck that’s gonna encounter water ever, so it’s not necessarily an issue for me. Moving it up more into the chassis wouldnt hurt I guess though 🤷🏻‍♀️

The zip tie is to remind you that you’re fuckin retarded.

Rubber? IDK probably heater hose or non fuel injection fuel line. You might be hitting it at full stuff on not supporting it close enough so that it flops around too much.
