Hey guys. I have a 1986 bronco and am installing q80 deavers with a 3.5 drop hanger and 7in shackles. I’m trying to figure out the leaf set up as far as bump zone and shackle angle. How much negiti e arch do you guys have? Are you guys running the stock bump stop and not dropping down the bump zone? Can you post pictures of your shackle at bump and droop please. Thanks the pictures are not full bump will go up another 1in or so

i wish i still had pics/info about my leaf and shakle setup on my Bronco. worked so fucking good. the leaves were....... i have absolutely no idea, hand-me-downs off a kids ranger actually, that i made work with drop hangers and shackles. let me see if i can dig up some pics.

**FUCK. i have absolutely no pics that you can see the shackle/hanger setup. i have the shackles/hangers on my ranger right now. the leaves work like donkey dick though, since theres absolutely no weight in the back of my truck now.

ill get some pics/measurements of the shackle/hanger setup though. hell, i might even still have the dxf files to cut them out. hah. if i do have them, ill send them over.
no promises though!

I don’t have any pictures of my leafs at full bump,
I want to say it’s about flat, maybe a smidge negative.

I would say set it up for clearance on the tire in the fender before worrying about bump stops and negitive arch.

Throw the tire on and jack it up to where the tire is about stuffed and call that full bump. Now you know where to set your new bump stops. Or if you don’t like how the leaf spring looks, extend that bump stop a little more to get rid of the negitive arch.

my suggestion is like Tree Trunk's,

first = get rid of the stock bump stop. unbolt it, and throw it away.

then......... if you already have the shackle/hanger you plan to use, bump it out with the axle touching the frame (or whatever is going to limit you first thats an absolute positive) with a single leaf in the pack & using the proposed hanger/shackle, don't worry about the shock YET, then post pics of the bumped out leaf/axle/setup. then we/others can give you suggestions on where to go/what to do next
