Whatsup everyone, this is my 1996 f150. This is my little brother and I’s first truck build. It’s not perfect but it sure does work. We built it in my dad’s shop. Took us roughly 2.5 months. A lot of fuck ups and, “YOU MEASURED WRONG, IM OVER IT”. Other than that I just picked up some links for the back, so it’s gonna be a short course style 4 link. With a bed cage and a 16” shock

Here’s some info
Cut and turned ttb
Giant engine cage
DIY 40.5 inch radius arms
2.5 x 14 king c/o
350/500 springs
Amazon rubber bumps stops
35” inch tires

Some updates on the truck IMG_6233.jpegSome updates on the truck, plates the frame made a bedcage and some other things, I took out the bench seat and put a 3rd seat in it. Had to take out my center console but it turned out good, I’ll post a pic later.

Also, I’m wanting to cage the truck. The only cage kit I’ve come across is the TE designs one. Not really looking to have that gnarly of a cage. I was thinking about making a simpler cage. Does anyone know of any files that I can copy or that I can buy a pre-cut kit for a little bit cheaper?

I’m looking into cages for my bronco and they make some nice stuff and not every bar needs to be used but be smart about what is taken out. Other than that you’re only options would be custom most likely

Overkill on cage unless you absolutely know what you're doing.

For your welds, turn the heat up a bit, maybe slow down the wire feed speed, and slow your movement. Also, a quality welding hood is worth its weight in gold. You don't realize how much you can't see until you can finally see. Makes a world of a difference.

Prep your material for a clean weld surface. Use a wire wheel and carb cleaner and wipe the metal down.
