Super clean and rad build!

If you're interested I have WELDED and WIY rear bronco bumper kits. Similar to MZ bumpers.

I have a rear bumper from desolate currently but no brackets to get it off the frame. So may hit you up if i cant get it work

thanks dood

desolate recommended removing a spring till they settle but ill run it, going to crank the front a little bit more before alignment.

You know i really wish i went spring under at this point, im seeing the limitation of the spring over and how the rear shackle actually binds if you let it droop low enough. But that will have to be another phase on this truck cause im broke af now lol
I'm in the same boat. Wish I got the Giant 64 kit from the get go instead of going spring over.

I figure at some point ill link it or go spring under. <waiting on that lotto to hit>
Just going to enjoy what I already put the work into for now lol

Feels good to be driving this thing around again after a few months.

Can anyone recommend an alignment shop thats competent with TTBs? preferably in the south bay/long beach area.

Call Alondra brake and wheel. They should be able to do it.

Well broncos been on all 4s for a few weeks. Driving around town working any little kinks out before the shake down trip. One thing i noticed is my new rear 9inch is leaking out the passenger side.

Now if i had to be honest im a little retarded, just good at putting things together. To me it seems like this bearing needs to go into the raceway futher. I can not get it in any further, but im wondering if the bearing is not pressed far enough down the axle so the shaft is bottom out and not letting me go in anymore?

I bought the rear end with the bearings already pressed into the axle just not installed. Hoping someone with more knowledge on how these go together can help me out. Does the bearing need to be pressed further down this shaft so it will go further into the raceway. If i were a betting man id say it needs to be pressed down to that notch in the axle? Really not a fan of leaking gear oil :(

I'm never used that style of sealed bearing on a 9in before I always run the Set 20 bearing with outer seal and never had a problem with them leaking before. Does that style bearing run a seal inside of it that the axle seals against the seal?

Im not gonna lie i have no idea. There was nothing internal to that bearing just the bearing. The other side isnt leaking and no seals there either. Im used to seeing an outer bearing seal also.

It appears the sealed bearing is the seal. So I would clean and remove the axle, then silicone around the outside and see if that works. If it doesn't then the bearing itself is leaking and I would replace it with a Timken Set 20 bearing with seal on outside of it.

I have an extra set of those timkens may just do that.

Stupid question but i have 35 spline axles, are they gonna be thicker than a regular 31 spline (ie different bearing?)

The bearing retainers will take a press to get it all on. Myself I cut the old retainers off, hammer old bearing and stuff off the axle. Then install retainer, seal and bearing, usually takes a few smacks with a long tube, then I heat the bearing retainer with my torch till it's hot with it siting ontop of the axle, then when nice and hot drop it onto the axle and smack it till fully seating the the long tube/hammer. Then install race in axle, do a nice bead of silicone around outside in the groove, then slide in axle and install retaining bolts and go.
