Alright I’m looking at this 06 gmc 2500 it has a lbz and 4x4.engine and trans felt solid on the test drive but when the truck is in 4 low and steering is locked out ethier way the truck feels like it binds then make a clunk. Any ideas on what it could be this is basically the deciding factor if I get the truck

Most likely the front driveshaft u joint or cv axles.
Also trying this on pavement is going to put extra stress on everything either way.

A new CV isnt a difficult fix on those.
Id be more concerned about the pitman arm, idler arm and bracket, and all tie rod ends. Then the lower BJs on those things dont like to last especially with bigger tires.
