2006 Tacoma

Going to use this as a way to track what I have done to my tacoma and stuff I do to it in the future!


It’s a 2006 Access Cab with a 2012-2015 face lift. Bought it bone stock minus some KMC rockstar wheels haha.


Engine/Transmission: Stock 4.0 V6 besides a custom cowl intake. 6 speed manual with a stage 2 south bend clutch.

5.29 gears, 3rd gen axle and 8.75” diff. Front and rear lockers


Front suspension: JD Fabrication +2.25” LT. Locked Offroad 2.5”x8” coilovers. JD Fab 934 CV axles. JD Fab spindle gussets, UCA double sheer kit, and heim tierods. Total Chaos cam tab gussets. 333 cam eliminator bolts. Wheelers super bumps.


Rear suspension: Archive shock relocation towers connected through the bed, with 2.5x14” locked offroad smooth body shocks. Archive hammer hangers. U-Bolt flip kit. Wheelers super bumps.


Armor: Front bumper is from Outlaw Overland in Washington. Rear bumper is from War Fab. Sliders are from Cali Raised.


Wheels/Tires: 17” DirtyLife roadkill beadlocks with 35” Maxxis Razr A/T’s. Going bigger soon.

Did you make the tube bumper? I feel like they are hard to make cool looking because of how tall the core support is on these trucks, but yours looks really simple and tucked up.

I’ve been slacking on keeping this updated. The truck got some fun stuff the last few weeks.

3rd gen tacoma axle and diff. Axle housing was trussed with a ruff stuff truss. Also added a diff diaper and a feel good bash plate underneath.

New gears are broken in. 5.29s with front and rear lockers. Got everything wired up to a switch panel.

Welp, rolled the truck. It’s getting parted out. Almost everything is called for besides the coilovers and rear shocks.

Was on a dirty road back to the staging area and hit a corner a little too fast, rolled 3 times, fortunately stopped tire side down. Had my girlfriend and dog with me. All walked away with minimal injuries!
