Hello im currently building my 2005 ford ranger into a pre runner, pretty basic build btf long travel and some deavers. im going to buy on the 64” giant long travel leaf kit but im trying to figure out how to make an under the bed cage work any have tips?
Under the bed cage? Please clarify. Do you just want to keep the shocks under the truck/bed, or keep the shock hoops under the bed line? Or you want to go super-trick and run a cantilever?
If you mean shock hoops in the wheel well under the bed, a lot of Tacoma guys use them but you’ll lose a bit of up travel with 12” shocks. Some claim to get 14” shocks in there but again at the sacrifice of some up travel if not going with 16-18” shocks.
Maybe @Giant Geoff would have a suggestion with those springs and minimal to no bed intrusion.
