2003 Tundra Prerunner

That minor hiccup I mentioned was a starting issue.. The truck had been started after the transmission got buttoned up and drove around the neighborhood. No issues. Pulled it back onto the driveway to do the axles and it sat there for ~3 weeks. The day I went out to wrap it up and bring it home, it wouldn’t start. Everything was normal, and I mean everything. The only difference was the starter wasn’t doing anything. Not a click, not a crank, not a whine, not a single turn of anything anywhere. Just silence. Even when the battery is deader than a doornail the starter will at least click.
So about 10 hours later of deep investigation, we start going through the starter wiring all the way back to the ecm.

That pointed out pink wire is the wire for the starter into the ecm.
After the truck got caged, custom ducting was used for the hvac system. The tube for the passenger vents had rubbed that single wire in the wrong way and pulled it ever so slightly from contacting its necessary terminal in that harness.
Re-routed the ducting and put some electrical silicone glue on that wire and it’s been money ever since. But what a fucking nightmare it was diagnosing, I was at my absolute wits end with this truck. Of course it only took 1 drive to fall in love again after it was all done though, what a relief that was.
If it makes you feel any better I had the same issue of no starter at all. I tore my whole dash, trans wiring, trans neutral switches, and engine loom apart only to find out that I had forgotten to re-latch the connector that goes between the cab harness and the engine bay loom back together... I almost pulled the manifold to check the new starter but dodged that job at the last second.

I am pretty sure that is also why my throttle adapter didn't work.
