One other thing to look at is the inner fender well.. see if there’s marks from the upper arm hitting it. If you beat on these hard enough, the upper misalign/bolt will hit the inner fender well at full bump and that will push the slug through the spindle.
Made this rock funnel thing for my folks. They’re building a house and had to make a giant retaining wall using gabion cages. I thought this thing was big and heavy til I saw the excavator that was filling it up. Pretty cool project though and different from the norm for me.

I’ve installed a couple solo kits. They’re pretty good. Definitely do require cutting a lot of the inner sheet metal out, not sure about the TE designs cage.
Got everything sprayed underneath with rust oleum before putting the tank back in for the last time hopefully. Shot the tank with some rattle can bedliner to make it look closer to “normal” should be putting suspension back on in the rear this week.
