There is a lot of crossover between hitting the dirt in a truck, on a bike, or on your Chevrolegs.

I'm not sure if there is enough interest on the board, but I figured I would throw the idea out there for a hiking, hikes, hiking events forum, and sub-forums.

When I first moved to Phoenix I would hike 3 or so days a week. Went on numerous trips like up to Mammoth and all we did was hike everyday. Ever since my accident beginning of 2020 I haven't hiked for shit. I enjoyed it but now I would die since I'm out of shape.

You have some cool shit out by you. Start getting after it.

Yeah just need to find a hiking partner. I got the whole mountain by big bear to hike in plus a ton of others by me as well. Hot summers head up to big bear. All the different climate's depending on the time of year

I have done a ton of hiking mostly by myself I find it very meditative, honestly getting on a hiking trail by myself in the middle of nowhere I find spiritual, like what I think others feel at church on Sundays, lol.

Hiking is something I need to get back into especially since I’m going to be trying to do a cous deer hunt this year and that’s more hiking than sitting

Not sure why I haven’t seen this thread before, I’ll post some pics tonight. I’ve really come to like backpacking… it’s a great poor man’s outdoor activity once you buy some gear, it’s more or less free. Doing a couple nighter in August this summer.
What has been your favorite so far?

I think the view from what I think was sawtooth pass hiking out of mineral king in kings canyon (if I remember right) was one of the coolest things I’ve seen. Might be because that was my first trip too. But you get up on top of this pass and look down into a valley of like 5 little lakes and it’s amazing.

The hiking part sucks to get there. Haha
