OK so I have a Samsung s24 Ultra and have had it as long as I've been on this forum. I've posted lots of photos taken with it BUT about 1 month ago I cannot upload photos because it says file size too large.

I tried all 3 camera settings on the phone 12M 50M 200M and all get same error.

Any suggestions on what to try on the phone or way to easily upload photos of my projects and stuff I got going on in my shop? I can upload screenshots from my phone so do I have to screenshot every photo to save as lower res to post?

How I'm doing it now is screenshot crop to just photo and repost but would rather have original photos able to post directly from my gallery

I still can't post photos from my iPhone 16 Pro.

I am not given an option to make photos smaller.

Is there a forum plugin that will reduce file size / resolution on the fly during upload?

That's what im thinking⏫, great idea. When uploading, the forum should automatically get rid of these 3.5 mb file sizes and reduce them down to 800kb or so. The pictures still have great clarity at those smaller sizes

I used to have to take photos in 1:1 like ig uses. Or screenshot the photo to reduce file size

I was able to find a setting on my phone to adjust size while uploading. Super annoying, has to be done each time tho.

I’ll talk to my tech guy. And get back with you. The problem is if I open the size to 69 Mb size for photos/videos that’s going to fill the storage up in a hurry.

So without expanding the file size to allow huge files which again will fill up storage for the site. Flickr.com is a hosting site that will give you 10 or so resized photo option. I have used for the last 20 years. They have a free account option that allows up to 1000 photos. You can go for paid if you wanted down the road or I guess just make another account with a different email if you exceed the storage.
