Unlimited Prerunner build

Well Gents it’s about time I get back into a real prerunner, still have all the can-ams but over the last few years realized I miss my old ranger and bronco, and something to work on and build and not be one of those SXS only guys.

I picked up a real gem ! Its a 2011 f-150 lariat limited dubbed “unlimited” for what we plan to do, it’s 4x4 with the 6.2 heavy on the clock at 250k still running strong but has some leaks the T-case was pulled because something broke in it so yes it has some issues but seemed for the very cheap price with a clean title a great complete truck to start the build.

Current plan:

Full cab cage maybe Izzy fab kit?

Front - Blitzkrieg raptor long travel keeping the 4x4

Rear - 3.5 housing from Blitzkrieg, not decided yet between doing a spring under set up or 4 link set up (input would be nice)

Odds: 60-80 gallon fuel cell, 2015 f-150 conversion fiberglass, prp seats, 40” bfg, methods

It’s early in the process truck isn’t even off the trailer yet, I had a good long conversation with Dave at bliztkrieg today.


Added some pictures of the truck from last nights drive home, and the front suspension and fiberglass I am thinking I want to go with.

Nice score! My 6.2 currently has 298k miles on it, so you’ve got plenty of life left in yours. Everyone and their mother with a luxury prerunner have the gen 2 raptor or ecoboost F150 style fiberglass and it’s a bit played out imo. I saw McNeil just released a gen 3 raptor front end and bedsides for 2010-14 trucks and that looks really good.

I was hoping to do that fiberglass you have but didn’t see listed on FiberwerXs forgot to check the other McNeils I like that look better

I see you have a leaf set up in the rear how do you like it? What all do you have done back there?

if it's an "unlimited" type build, why in the heck would you not link it? especially if you're going to be haulin around 60-80 gallons of gas and 40s!

Haha good point but the budget isn’t unlimited !
