TT Motorsports Shop Thread

Got the front air bumps, limit straps and brake line tab mounted up. Painted and ready to reinstall everything BUT first I gotta do tubing for the inner fender delete that's happening for clearance at full bump.

Truck is driving and out of the shop. Tomorrow a 99 Tacoma comes in that I'm going to swap the motor in for a friend. Stock truck but it's a friend who I'm helping out since I found a good motor and will get it swapped for a good deal compared to regular shops that she was getting a quote from.

Well got new tube inner fenders on as well as fiberglass and adjusted the hood a bit to better line up. Trimmed fiberglass for full bump. Made mounts for fuse panel, clutch reservoir and zip tied up all the wires. Waiting on windshield washer reservoir to arrive. But its finished up besides that, alignment and driving to break in the new gears.

Killing it Tommy! I remember when I showed up to your shop in Simi back in the day and you helped me cut out the aluminum for my rear tool box. You were able to work super fast and chat at the same time. Must be nice... o_O

Yeah. Now if I could film YouTube videos and work as fast that would be a real skill. Talking while working is easy. Setting up the camera and that shit takes time.

It's bumped and strapped at 14" travel. Straps are new so right now it's around 13.5" before the stretch and break in.

Yeah cycles good and pushed forward clears firewall. Had to trim about 2" of height in fender for bump but not bad really. Plus this truck has manual hubs so no need to worry about vacuum shit working or not working.

Manual hubs?! Fucking awesome! My shafts were always spinning on mine.

Yeah was told this was first btf kit with the manual locking hubs. Also been driving it around in 4x4 to break in front diff BUT after a week of driving it now the 4x4 light on cluster has gone off and periodically the 4x4 and Low light flash then it goes off again.

Do you still have that 4runner with the swing steer project. I was liking all the updates on that front end!

I finished that project for now. Customer needs more parts and I need to finish other projects before getting back on it.

Updated pricing on last 10 jack skids I have in stock. $20 off so $105 each shipped. Also insider track members get jack for discount as well. So save save save and buy now to have on your truck when you or your friend need a jack this season.

I'm only 35 now and people think i'm an OG desert racer and I was in my first race back in 2005 is all. BUT that was 17 years ago and some of these young kids just getting into pre runners were like 5 yrs old back then.
