Updates from last post…
-“Paint matched” fenders and hood…

-Towed in the the front tires about an inch, it tracks much less terrifying now lol still about an 1/8th out.
-swapped to a 195 from a 180 degree thermostat cause I’ve been trusting the stock coolant temp gauge….
I thought it was running rich cause it never got to operating temp.
Turns out my stock gauge only gets to “normal” when it’s at like 210 😅

Put 188 miles on it yesterday with 80-90 or so dirt miles.

Also spent some time in the yucca valley o’rilies parking lot … but that’s @Bpbuilt’s story to tell

It was great to finally get some real desert miles on it.

Overall it did really well the whole day- pretty plush on most of the rocky sections, we didn’t get beat up in the chatter bumps going up rattlesnake, And I can throw it around pretty good in the tight stuff.

As for blasting the whoops…. Small to medium… Super comfortable.

The section between giant rock and Boone RD. Is another story… I tried to chase @Turboyota @BROmanian and @whitetrashkyle
I had my foot to the floor locked in second gear, George Micheal's blasting through the intercom and the bronco was eating up everything that came our way…. For about 35 seconds 😂 my rear 2.5’s had enough of that and gave up in short order lol

We climbed out of Johnson valley back towards big bear and had a stop at the tree

Poured one out for @Bpbuilt since he didn’t make it that far

My dad texting my mom telling her he was gonna be late getting home and that she could start wheel of fortune without him.

Im pulling the coilovers for a spring and valving change.

I’m currently on a 500/550
I’m going to try these 450s that turboyota let me borrow. For a 450/550
I will also be using the cross over nut this time around.

As for valving, I know I have a pretty aggressive flutter stack in it right now. I’m going to see if it has some bleed holes I can open up then return to a less aggressive flutter stack or even work towards a regular light pyramid.

The goal is just like everyone else’s… keep it plush over the chatter and firm in the big stuff.

It actually worked pretty well as it was, but after some big whoops the water test showed the bypass was working way harder than the coilover. So I’m hoping to spread the load

I also installed this clean ass dash mat, some USB ports and an iPad mount.
The iPad mount was good for the co-dawg but it was annoying to me that I couldn’t see the map. So I will try and hang it just above the air controls.
