I went ahead and tossed the core support and fenders on.


Then threw a tire on for fun



I love the sleeper concept

But big beams, fiberglass and 37’s are pretty cool Too

We are about current at this point,
I recieved my Donaldson air cleaner the other day and was trying to shoehorn that bad girl in there. I underestimated how big those cartridge filters are.




I’m waiting on my 1” die from JD2 so I can bend up a little mount for this thing.
Then I will plumb it in to the intake.

I was also starting the process of thinking up some inner fender wells… I’ve got stock fenders… why not run stock fender wells lol
Instead of going to the pick a part I just ordered some online

While I wait for those parts I’m trying to clean up some electrical and install bulkheads to run wire through when i start on the center consul.

What part number is the donaldson you are using?

For the electrical. I really like the TE connectivity HD30 series. Nice sealed connectors with aluminum shells and they use deutsch contacts. You can get them with a bunch of different pin sizes and quantities. Way cleaner install vs a grommet imo.

I like that set up, currently just have a few different compression type bulkheads for various wire sizes. I’ll check out TE connectivity

As for the filter it is

I know these type of filters can choke out big HP engines, but I think my 5.0 fire breather will be just fine

I’d rather choke the engine than get dirt in the engine that 15-20 go is less important then engine life

Not much of an update,
I’m still waiting on my die so I can make up an air filter mount.
But I’ve been trying to sort out the electrical in the engine Bay Area.
I’ve been working on getting the inner fender wells mounted as well.



For those of you who are running a stock dash and heater/AC around a cage…

The dash bar is pretty much is in the way everything I was able to keep the bulk of the AC equipment behind the dash, but it will more or less dump hot/cold air out behind the dash….. unless I get creative with my duct plumbing.
Have any of you guys ran the heater like this? Just dumping out behind the dash?



I also got my wiper linkages to clear the tubes going through the fire wall I had to cut some sheet metal and clock the wiper motor. Then shorten the linkages. It seems like they don’t have the full range of motion as before, but I’ll take it.

The too do list grows faster than i can cross stuff off
