I don’t think I posted it in here but one of my clients was telling me they are now using license plate cams to log out of state plates. Got a ticket for AZ plates, went to court and told them it was for his havasu house and only in CA to get some work done. Judge put a spread sheet up on the projector of all the license plate cams his plate had been through over the last 6 months showing it was getting driven all over the IE everyday

I have some of my vehicles registered in AZ at my AZ address but I live in Ca and have a Ca DL. AZ finally caught up and require the vehicles to have AZ specific insurance policies which was no problem but cost more than insured on my Ca policy. Price to pay to avoid smog regulations.

I've looked into it for the Bronco and it was like $600 for the year and the Suburban was $1200 for the year
Its been awhile since I moved them to AZ reg and ins so I can't really remember, but the higher end valued ones did cost a noticeable amount more. Couldn't give you an exact percentage though. AZ didnt catch it until renewal time, then they forced it on me. Still cheaper than finding an illegal smog etc.
