San Diego Tuff Trucks Advocacy

TLDR: is there anyone Advocating to try and bring Tuff Trucks back to San Diego?

As most of you know, Tuff Trucks got discontinued in 2024, and word around town was the reason for it was due to a certain truck that flipped and spilled an excessive amount of fuel into the grounds. That, and the continuous "carnage" that came with the event. My question is: is there anyone here that can confirm this to be the reason. Obviously the fair commission voted for it, but does anyone know any more detail on this? Is this something the community can advocate for? Maybe this can start some traction on petitioning to bring it back? I can't be the only one that misses it.

would be nice to see it back, might actually attend the fair if it was brought back, I know they do an OC fair tough truck event but watching that event is boring as fuck compared to the SD fair event.

Cool thank you! Will probably contact WGAS, too, and see if they've tried anything since 2024. Tuff Trucks was why i went to the fair. We need it back.

I think it’s a big reason why any of us went! The SD fair and tuff trucks are both way better than OC in my opinion. I hope you can dig up some answers!
