Whats up guys this is my 2001 Four Wheel Camper Hawk that I picked up in 2018. Its also been my full time living quarters which explains how I’ve been able to afford all these fun parts on the prerunner. lol

All the pictures are from its maiden voyage back home to Cali after picking it up in Salt Lake City, Utah 4 years ago. It looks much different now.

I had a bitchin setup before this one too but it just wasn't enough for full time living. Perfect for a weekend warrior! I made it work for about 3 years and even went on a 6000 mile road trip with it. I had solar on top for a fridge in my backseat and a full size bed on top of the platform. It was pretty damn comfy.

So rad.

You said you were living in it? Are you traveling around or just posted up in one spot with it?

Also I'm super interested in Solar these days. I see that you had two panels just to run the fridge? How fast would it charge up your battery bank of a sunny day?

I travel with it here and there but for the most part I try to stay near my work in SCV and stay at local campsites or random side streets/parking lots.

Solar is fucking awesome you should grab a kit if you’re looking. With 110ah of battery and a fridge running all night you’d probably only use 10-20% battery. Solar would recharge that before noon on a good summer morning.

To charge back to 100% from 50% might take a full day or day and a half. They have calculators to help you figure out your power needs.

4 months in I started getting to work on renovating the camper. I completely gutted it. Swapped my solar setup over and converted to 2 electric fans.

Do you have any new photos of your remodel? I’ve always wanted a fourwheel grandby. I have a flatbed dodge, I want to build custom boxes and outdoor kitchen on the side cutouts. Just can’t afford the camper right now.
