Ranger Steering Gear choices

Anyone with experience or suggestions what steering gear to pick?
1993 Ranger 4wd stock width d44, 37s.
Factory style steering for now if porting is an option I'll add it incase in the future I want ram assist and swing steering.

Main options I'm seeing:
Redhead -porting option
Blue top -porting option
Psc(desolate motorsports) -ported
Solo motorsports -porting option
Napa/autozone/oriellys -no porting

I just put a TC pump on my 94 explore out of a 2006 jeep liberty 3.7.

Using a 60$ bracket and the inlet from the ford pump.

It’s pretty damn effortless steering on 35s.

I am gona see if I can swap the guts out of a race pump into this jeep house !

Why not just bolt a race pump in place if you’re looking for more? Those aluminum housing pumps don’t like to be turned up too much.
More GPM won’t do you any good without a ram, more PSI will help slightly but you’re just abusing the weak sector shaft on a stock box even more.

Didn’t know there was anything worth a crap in the ford housing , what’s a rage pump?


I’m into this for like 130$ and it works pretty well.

I edited my post.

You said you already put a tc pump on, millikn options exist for race tc pumps but it’s not width putting internals into that jeep jump.just swap it out.
At most you could shim the relief valve but again not worth it
