I'm Phil, from Northern California, It has been a few years since I've been on any forums, been around on DR since about `05 but never posted much. The Ranger is a 93 4x4 with D44 TBB, ARBs front and rear, 5:1 Atlas t-case, deavers, 2.5 smooth bodies front and rear, airbumps, a little more than the average rock crawler. I made it down to the Mojave Road last weekend and crossed paths with Giant Geoff and his group, seeing that group inspired me to jump on here and check out the new forum. I've got a bit of upcoming work on the ranger to do before Rubicon season, and hopefully one or two more desert trips this year.

First of all - Thanks for joining.

Such a rad set up and sounds like you are using that thing if you are making the trek all the way down to the Mojave trail.

I wouldn't normally say this... but super cool to see that it's a stepside. Fits the rock crawling build out better IMOP.

Is the truck an auto or manual trans?

I'm in Dixon, near Davis.
Awesome, welcome aboard I know Kyle well and a couple others up here that like to go fast and not just rock crawl! I live up past Cache Creek Casino but work in Davis, Closest dirt for me is Indian Valley. I know a bunch of people from Dickskin that go up there too. Hopefully we can catch up sometime!

I try to use it as much as I can. And it gets driven everywhere except for one trip to Moab, i towed it out.

It wasn't originally a stepside, i'll get a build thread going on the truck and post the full story of how it came to be in there.

It is a manual trans.
