PILE oh shit bronco 86

Got the driver side tubes in place thinking of adding one more tube. My race truck had 3 tubes connecting it and I ripped a tube in half had to add more tubes and am scared for it to happen again.

Do you have any pictures of how it broke on your old truck?
Well he was driving it through the moon bumps in Laughlin and the tubes were schedule 40 pipe so that's how. ;) Im just messing with him, he beat the shit out of the thing. This set up will be fine Austen.

lol, I was curious if the tubes pulled from the frame or where they broke. My engine cage pulling apart has crossed my mind a time or two 😳

Looking back at the pics don’t realize I had no tubes going to the main bar surprised it didn’t break earlier.

Well added a 1in tube going across landing in the middle of shock mount. Love how it turned out. Played the steering box in and added some plates to the beams.

Got all cage work done and painted also finished up the beams and painted them had some plating to add and double sheeting the steering. Doing the drive line clearence and going to install axel shafts and cycle for the 100th time. Hard to work on it with a new born baby at home but we’re getting there. Hoping to drive it before September.

Well got the front end mostly assembled just need to do brake lines and set alignment. Got her bumped and strapped at 18in of travel with no binding. Very happy with the turn out. The cross tube had to be off from the shock mounts due to the distributor. Didn’t want the tube to be in the way if I need to pull distributor or plug wires. Also rebuilt my kuster coilovers wich became a nightmare being everything was so dam tight. Had to buy a 36in pipe wrench to remove the caps it internally they were in amazing condition.

Well got quite a bit done and finally drove it. Got the camber and alignment done with a line laser wich works great fo anyone not wanting to spend a couple hundred on alignment. The front feels super good very planted. Very happy with the outcome. Now I need to get the rear done because the rear feels like a pogo stick.

Curious why you didn't move the battery to the back?
I have a trip coming up in 3 weeks and before I redid the front I had already completely rewired the whole bronco and added sniper so it took me 1 hour to make the battery set up and get the truck started again. Will be moving and adding a second battery to the back after this season.
