Off road industry drama

It’s no secret that shocks have a lead time, it seems like everywhere you look there is a disclaimer about the lead time associated with buying shocks

Exactly and thats how we sell a lot of shocks. We stock a ton and always have them on order so if we dont have now its usually a much shorter lead time.

When I was building my truck up during Covid, I called PolyPerformance and they were the only ones to have what I needed in stock. Everywhere else was MONTHS out. A lot of the online shops laughed at me when I asked when they thought they would get a set shipped out. The PP rep on the phone even hooked me up with a discount just because. Very pleased with their service and product availability.

Yes 2.8 mil in inventory and pallets of fox and king shocks every couple weeks. If we have sold it in the last 6 months we have them on orser if not in stock.

And yeah 2021 we killed it because we stocked stuff nobody else had. I didnt work here then but I bought stuff from them and there was no delays just business as usual.

Now back to the scammers on hand currently. I believe 75% of whats out there on this, every side has a different story, im sure some got legit fucked and others are impatient.

This reminds me of stories I heard about Kellan Meadows 10 yrs ago. Over promise and under/never deliver. I never had a problem with them because I would hand cash when I was handed products.

Sweet. What's the discount code? I need a full King TT shock package.

if nick isnt conveying that up front, that is his own fault though... As a business you need to be upfront to avoid this mess.
Yeah King is always 12 weeks it seems for shocks, so unless they're on order it's gonna take months to get them. Most people don't understand that and have the Amazon, 2 day delivery mentality.
I had a guy buy a set of BD lights for a raptor recently, he got the part numbers mixed up and needed a kit I didn't have in stock, I was amazed he didn't ask for a refund when I told him they would be backordered for 2-3 weeks, I can't fathom taking money from someone and not telling them their stuff won't ship for weeks or months, part of the reason I don't typically backorder 3rd party stuff on my site.

In a quick sentence
Robby woods claiming Robby Gordon stole and patented his idea, gravel kings is suing Terra crew and MCD1
And then shit post accounts just poking fun at fish
MCD1 is a theif. He still continues to steal money from other builds to pay other things and owes a lot of money to people not to mention parts that should have been bought with customer given money and never bought . Rob Peter to pay Paul

That's the motto for most of the off-road fabrication industry "rob Peter to pay Paul"

Nick is not the best at business and does have to wait on suppliers but he always comes through with the deals he does. I think Cox is butt hurt that Nick got put level 4 discount at King and Nick was selling shocks for only $100. over his cost.

Yeah you’re wrong here. It goes so much deeper than taking deposits and waiting on parts to come in.
A customer of mine now had previously taken Tonelli his Brand new King 3.5” bypasses, 3.0” IBP coilovers, and brand new 2.0 bump stops (along with Kibbetech trailing arms, uppers, lowers, and whatever else for his Ram TRX.) All of that for a color change to orange anodize and black bodies + rebuild on the coilovers since they were used. 5 months goes by and Nick is giving this dude the run around. He finally gets SOME of his parts back and brings them to us to actually do the job.
Nick had previously clamped this guys race finned resi in a serated jaw vice, started to disassemble the shocks, and gave up. The customer is now missing his brand new 3.5” bypasses and Kibbetech lower arms.
To top it off, another long time friend of mine reached out 5 months ago about converting some 3.5” race shocks to remote resi.. I’m sure you see where I’m going with this. The icing on top of all this is that he paid Nick $1,500 for the shocks but never got them.
So in summary, Nick took a guys shocks in for work, sold the same pair of shocks to at least two people, and damaged this guys parts + lost his lower arms. The story with the arms? Nick claimed he was scanning Kibbe’s lower arms and was going to make his own that were better.

I’m sorry but what goes around comes around. Nick has the potential to be a great businessman with the connections and name he had built in this industry but instead he chose to throw it all in the dumpster and light a match. It’s sad and pathetic he’s blatantly taking people’s money with zero intentions of coming through with parts.
